DJL's first series of books are entilted "Supplementary Electronic Keyboard Pieces" The books are designed to supplement your main tutorial book and give you more opportunities to practise the skills you have learned while increasing your repertoire.
Each book contains seven original pieces written especially for Keyboard which are all graded into levels. As a guide, Book 1 is Grade 1 level, Book 2 is Grade 2 level, and so on. This means whether you are doing exams or not you will know what level each piece you are playing is. It should be noted though that there are several exam bodies out there and we have tried where possible to find common ground between them in each book.
At the end of each book is a progress diary section for the student, or teacher, to log in written notes on the progress for each piece. Each piece contains suggestions for sounds and styles, but the nature of the Electronic Keyboard is flexibility and the player should bear this in mind when choosing their registrations. The pieces have plenty of opportunities for you to use Fill-ins, intros and endings as well as sound changes.
